It’s that time of year again when we pack up the crates and hit the road for a couple of trade shows. It has been a good winter (easy for us to say in Southern California) and we are looking forward to getting out to see old friends, make some new ones, find out what’s new in the design world and talk about green walls. The 2016 tour starts with a regional show in Lynnwood, WA, just outside Seattle, where our local Pacific Northwest rep, RTB Company, will be at the Washington Chapter of ASLA Conference on Friday, April 1st. Erl and Devon from RTB are looking forward to meeting you and can help answer your greenscreen® questions.
Wait! What? We are double booked for May? This doesn’t happen very often (thankfully), but we have two overlapping trade shows! For the last two years, we have been exhibiting at the International Parking Institute Conference and Expo and are looking forward to our third year in Nashville. On a side note, if you don’t think that the parking industry sounds very exciting, this group will change your mind because they definitely know how to have a good time! The festivities (I mean conference) kicks off Tuesday, May 17th and if you can keep up lasts until Friday, May 20th. We will be in Booth 319 and do have complimentary Expo passes available. If you are interested in attending the Expo, please email Dean Hill at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information. We look forward to seeing you and enjoying everything that the parking industry and Nashville have to offer!
From Nashville, it’s straight to Philly! Well, actually we are doing a “divide and conquer” approach, so the other 2/3rds of the team will already be there. Philadelphia is one of our favorite cities and is this year’s host for the AIA Conference and Expo. We also have complimentary Expo passes available and please email for more information if you would like to come see us. We will be in Booth 2725, right next to the AIA Town Hall area, beginning Thursday, May 19th all the way through Saturday, May 21st. There are a number of reasons to like Philly, besides the great cheesesteaks, and we particularly like to check out a few of your greenscreen® projects. Here are just a couple of installations that we are interested in checking up on:
Comcast Tower – Wall mounted with posts and freestanding with structural steel. Dormant Virginia Creeper (Parthenocissus quinquefolia) and Coral Honeysuckle (Lonicera sempervirens).
Lenfest Plaza – Wall mounted. Clematis (Clematis var.).
Rittenhouse Square – Freestanding fence with posts. English Ivy (Hedera helix).
Passyunk Community Garden – Freestanding with posts. Blackberry (Rubus var.) and Raspberry (rubus var.).
So, that’s the plan! We would love to talk with you and hear about the projects that teams are working on and how we might be involved. If that just so happens to occur over Nashville Fried Chicken and/or Cheesesteaks, bonus! To keep up with future trade shows that we will be involved with, mouse on over to the Events page under the News tab. We hope to see you down the road…
